International Conference on Animal Welfare Education
FAO will be present at the First
International Conference on Animal Welfare Education which will be held in
Brussels on 1
and 2 October 2010.
The Conference, organized by the Directorate-General for Health and Consumers, will explore the science and values guiding animal welfare education, methodologies for teaching animal welfare, and the role of the media in animal welfare education. Daniela Battaglia, Livestock Production officer at the Agriculture and Consumer Protection Department, will present during the event the FAO regional educational programs in animal welfare.
Schuman Trophy Tournament
Playing under the UNIDO banner, staff from IOM, UNFCCC, UNIDO and UNRIC took part in the Schuman Trophy football tournament for the fourth year running, finishing in third place.
